Our Story
Gusto Gelato was created in 2006 by a French businessman who currently resides in Dubai. His passion for good quality food and tasty yet healthy ice cream resulted in the conception of Gusto Gelato. He has had a life long affair with the exquisite taste and superb creations of pastries, chocolates and deserts in general, and this paved his way to learn the secrets behind the age-old Italian tradition of producing ‘gelato’ (Italian for ice cream).
During his university holidays he visited his Italian uncle who taught him not only the secrets of the trade, but also the importance of taste, quality and freshness; hence the name GUSTO…. the Italian word for ‘TASTE”.
After working in the food industry for a few years, he was left disappointed by the lack of quality and freshness of ice cream served and sold in the UAE, and consequently the first Gusto Gelato outlet was created and opened. Today, healthy and fresh gelato is served at “GUSTO Gelato” outlets in most large and popular malls throughout the UAE.
